Trust and safety is our number one priority. As such, being transparent about what Huddle is (and what it is not), as well as being clear about the steps we take to build trust is hugely important to us.
The first thing to say is that we are not a babysitting or nanny agency, Huddle is a marketplace providing members with as much information as possible to make informed decisions and find the best carer for their family. Huddle understands that parents want to book the babysitters that their community know and trust. Our verifications and social validation tools in the app allow parents to tap into these networks quickly and easily, and we ensure all carers applying for jobs are vetted by our trained specialists, not just a computer.
When viewing a carers profile on the app, a parent is able to see ratings, and read the reviews and references given by other parents or childcare employers.
All carers must have a verified Working with Children’s Check (including national criminal history check) or verified childcare reference to be able to apply for jobs.
Choose carers who have completed First Aid training. Not all First Aid Certificates can be verified by Huddle so by all means please ask your chosen carer to bring these along or send through to you.
Privacy and Security
Contact information and the full job details are only shared with your chosen carer once the booking is confirmed. We never share your address or personal details publicly – only your suburb, first name, and last initial.
Huddle works with industry leading payment platform Stripe, to ensure your information is stored safely and payments are processed securely.
